2004 Model Sea Ray 280/315 Sun Dancer This is a 2004 model Sea Ray that was newly built, launched, and registered in Japan. Depending on the sales channel, it is referred to as either the “Sea Ray 280” or the “Sea Ray 315 Sun Dancer,” but they are essentially the same model. The identification number stamped on the hull confirms that this is a 2004 model. It comes fully equipped with features ideal for cruising, including a shore power system, marine air conditioning, and a generator. Whether you’re staying at a marina, cruising to remote islands, or sleeping aboard, you can use the power supply and air conditioning to enjoy a comfortable onboard experience. Featuring the spacious cabin and comprehensive equipment characteristic of Sea Ray, this model is versatile enough to handle everything from day cruises to marina stays and long-distance cruises. While boats of this model typically sell for between 8 million and 9.5 million yen, the owner has been too busy to use it for about two years. Exterior

Although it is a 2004 model, the design doesn’t feel dated, and it possesses the volume and presence unique to the 32-foot class. It features a large bow rail and a deck layout that makes it easy to move to the bow.The sleek hull lines, typical of a sport cruiser, are also a major attraction. As this is a pre-owned boat, it shows signs of wear commensurate with its age, but even from the photos, it gives the impression of being in good overall condition.
Hull
As shown in the photos, the hull and surrounding areas show wear typical for its age, but no major, noticeable damage is visible in the photos.The hull has the substantial presence typical of Sea Ray, characterized by a deep V-shape and powerful bottom lines. The navy hull color still retains its luster, giving the boat a commanding overall appearance. Front Deck
The boat features a wide, open front deck. Stainless steel bow rails are installed on both sides, and the bow is equipped with an electric anchor windlass, allowing for smooth anchoring and retrieval.A hatch is also installed in the center of the deck to provide natural light and ventilation to the cabin. As this is a 2004 model used boat, the deck shows signs of wear and dirt commensurate with its age; however, as shown in the photos, the condition does not significantly detract from the boat’s appeal, and it retains the spacious bow area characteristic of Sea Ray.

Engine & Other Features
The boat is a twin-engine configuration, powered by two MerCruiser (Mercury) MCM 5.0 MPI gasoline engines. It offers the nimble handling characteristic of a stern-drive boat, along with excellent maneuverability thanks to the two engines mounted side by side. The boat is equipped with two stern drives, one on each side. As shown in the photos, both the propellers and the drive units themselves are in good condition and easy to inspect. In R5, the cylinder head, impeller, bellows, gimbal bearings, exhaust valve, intake valve, starter motor, and alternator were replaced. The manifold and elbows were replaced within the last 10 years.
